Lost my f-ing MIND at BoC - anyone seen it?

Oh my, that was WAY over the top. Thanks to everybody who was there for makin' it HAPPEN.

I was hoping to get an answer to the old question: How much is too much?...but when it comes to breaks, it seems my apetite is endless.

      Last year, I showed up at 9am and was all disappointed when it closed down 'round about 11-11:30. So, this year, I showed up at 6:30, and couldn't believe how massive it was!

      The music? D-A-M-N!

      I'd been up all night, and must have danced for at least 10 hours, including BOC.

      I had to leave with a big smile plastered to my face at 2:30 when my body just wouldn't go anymore.

      How late did it go?

        What just happened????

        I cannot believe what an amazing time BoC was -- thank you, thank you, thank you Space Cowboys for one of the best parties I've ever been to. Great vibe, amazing people, tasty beverages and kick ass music. SPLENDID!

        The party went until around 4:00 p.m. -- at least I think it did, that's when we got kicked out because they'd run out of lots of things (ice, beer, mixers, etc.) and they were closing the doors to Whisper. We got there at 6:30 so, needless to say, we danced our asses off.

        Fun, fun, fun...can't wait until next year!

        And yeah, when IS the hoe down and where? WE'LL BE THERE!

        Lastly, does anyone know if Yvette and Kyle (two of my new Spacde Cowboy's pals) are on Tribe? I'd love to find them on here.

          i'm still very, very fuzzy...that was an unf'inbelievalbly awesome morning, to follow a spot-on night of debaucherous activity at false profit, to precede another several hours of quality marathon dancing at eklektic!! all in all, a very lovely cracked out new year's weekend!!

          big upz to space cowboys for another fine fiesta, and next time let's precook some bacon elsewhere if the silly geese at whisper won't let us bust out the frying pan!!

                this "hoedown" refers to the little soiree in the desert...there are of course other space cowboys parties but the big ones are the desert hoedown and breakfast of champions...though i gotta say the halloween parties have been pretty freakin' stellar, too.

                  You're very welcome. The party didn't get busted...I think. I was there start to finish. I know Felix's set got cut short cuz Krafty played a little bit longer. Did it get busted?? I don't remember cops. Hmmm....Yeah, I had a good show that night, but cops?? What a trip if it did. I left the party really happy (and I got paid).

                    hmmm...well, i was there until we were forced to leave by the cops. yes, i remember felix wasn't even on for 1/2 hour when we had to go. was it some kind of permit problem with the owners of capella? anyway, it was not very late, and a lot of people were confused because the flyer said afterhours and we were having too much fun to wanna leave. i left sweaty and happy but confused and wanting more. in fact, my email archives indicate that i wrote to a friend of mine the next day about this party:

                    (from july 6, 2003)
                    last night i went to krafty kuts and felix the dog
                    > @capella...that was fucking awesome, but it got shut down about half
                    > an hour early, right in the middle of felix's set. krafty kuts kicked
                    > ass. though we got kicked out at 2:30 i got in some quality dance
                    > time so it's cool...but i am curious as to why it got shut down.

                      Wow, Miss Kitty, quite the historian. I'm impressed. I hadn't a clue Felix's set was cut short due to FIVE-Oh-no. That's funny. I was really into the mix that night. Way into it...

                      Yeah, Capella had the makings of an awesome venue. Out of that Krafty gig, I got 5-6 more gigs there (we did four in one week). I was really starting to mesh with the folks who ran the space, when suddenly out of nowhere, they were shut down. Alas, me thinks their hubris caused their demise. They were doing events there many times a week, week after week after week. And yes, their dancefloor was quite nice.

                      More johns are always nice at any venue, esp for you ladies. I somewhat remember the bathroom sitch at BOC as being painfully long...

                        yes but the tables were turned, the boys line was always longer than the girls..... it was defintely different to see that. in fact thier were boys going in the powder room,. it's was quite the antithesis!!

                        still dancing in my head from that wonderful day... it was surreal!
